In October 2019, Doyle Racing relocated to Newcastle Racecourse, home of the Newcastle Jockey Club. This move transformed the stable. The city of Newcastle itself is beautifully placed less than three hours from all four Metropolitan Racecourses. The base is also only three hours to the furthest Provincial circuit (Kembla Grange) and is surrounded by Countries tracks such as Muswellbrook, Scone, Taree and Port Macquarie.

Newcastle Racecourse has training facilities second to none. We have at our disposal two grass tracks (Course Proper and Beaumont track), a recently installed Polytrack and a sand track. In addition to this we have a set of practice barriers and an independently run heated equine pool.

Adjacent to our on course stabling we also have two ten-horse walkers and a sand roll to keep our horses in a relaxed frame of mind. Moving to Newcastle also came with the added option of taking horses to Horse Shoe Beach for beach therapy.

The stabling itself has been recently upgraded, ensuring all horses have spacious boxes at their disposal.

Spelling

The spelling of a thoroughbred is a crucial period in the recovery and development of any thoroughbred. This period allows our horses to repair and rebuild physically as well as mentally; some may compare it to human’s taking a holiday. Spelling plays a vital role in helping each individual horse meet their goals, and ensures they are in perfect condition for the commencement of their next preparation.

We currently work closely with two spelling farms – Nine 9 Park and Finniefeirme. Both provide horses with spacious, luxurious paddocks accompanied by the greatest of care.

NINE 9 PARK - SINGLETON

Conveniently located in the heart of the Hunter Valley, Singleton NSW centre of the Equine region is this newly established agistment facility. Nine 9 Park is specially designed for thoroughbreds, boasting first class fencing, shelters, and a full-time dedicated team to ensure the safety and well-deserved care of horses.

FINNIEFEIRME – KULNURA

Finniefeirme is a boutique thoroughbred stud based in the heart of Kulnura on the Central Coast. Finniefeirme offers five-star spelling facilities with large paddocks, stable boxes along with offering pre-training services. Finniefeirme Farm management consists of a Horse Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager and Farm General Manager.
